Join us for Curry night in Leidsche Rijn!
Hubby and I have always enjoyed a great curry (mainly Thai) but since I bought him the Hairy Bikers 'Great Curries' book last Christmas we have been working our way through the recipes and have well and truly got into this style of food! The word Curry originates from the word Kari which means Sauce in Tamil, a South Indian language. However the term 'curry' itself seems to come from England ...us Brits love a good old curry house!
I had no idea just how many types of curry there were and how many different countries give inspiration to this dish.
So we invite you for a night of adventure, spices and globe trotting. Curry can come from Indonesia, The Caribbean, Thailand, India, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Vietnam, Burma, South Africa, England, Hong Kong, Japan....and so many other corners of the world.
We would like to try and make this as wide spread as possible with a good variety of dishes, meats and flavours so check out this pinterest link for some inspiration and come and join us for a night of spice!
We will provide a Creamy Kashmiri Chicken curry (originating from the Kashmir region of Northern India, plus chilli chocolate pots for a dessert.
We can also provide the rice and noodles once I know how much is needed.
